Check Delivery Standard (i.e. Delivery Time) of the Destination
Our delivery standard varies from service to service, depending on the destination. Please check the delivery standard of your selected service first to ensure delivery can be made within expected timeframe.
Sundays and public holidays are excluded for the purpose of determining the date of posting or arrival in Hong Kong for all mail items and for performance measurement under the performance pledges.

Check Other Information on Posting
Check Posting Restrictions:
Please make sure that your posting does not exceed the weight and size limits stipulated by the destination and does not contain any prohibited or restricted item. Otherwise, it may not be successfully delivered.

Information on Customs Clearance:
To allow customs in the destination to confirm the content of an item, the sender must complete customs declaration form(s) and provide the required documentation for customs clearance. Otherwise, it may result in delay in delivery or seizure by customs.

Mail Packaging and Preparation
After checking postage, delivery standard, cut-off time for posting and other information on posting, please follow the procedure below to prepare your mail item:

  • 5.1
    Fill in Posting Form (Pos 460);
  • 5.2
    Fill in the required Customs Declaration Form(s) (Pos 401C / Pos 401D / Pos 401G);
  • 5.3
    For account customers, please affix the Agreement Number Barcode Label to both the item and the Posting Form (Pos 460).

Tips before Posting
Please note:

  • -
    All mail items should be adequately packed and any barcodes thereon must not be covered.
  • -
    The Posting Form (Pos 460) and the Green Label must be attached.
  • -
    For non-document items and items which are addressed to specific destinations (e.g. Italy), they must be attached with a Commercial Invoice.
  • -
    For account customers, make sure that the Agreement Number Barcode has been affixed to the lower left-hand corner of the mail item.

Mail Tracking
After posting, you can track the delivery status of your posted item(s) at any time via Speedpost hotline, Speedpost website or Hongkong Post Mobile App.

Speedpost provides comprehensive coverage for mail items. In case of loss, damage or delay in delivery of any mail item, compensation of up to HK$1,500 may be payable to the sender.
